Between the Tent Village, morning keynotes, curated Premium Events, and multiple parties, Startupfest is a jam-packed week of unbeatable networking and world-class content. Startupfest passes give you access starting Wednesday, July 10th at 1pm, until Friday, July 12th. All PREMIUM EVENTS require separate registration. Startupfest Activities & Stages


Tent Village

July 11 & 12, 12PM-5PM

The Tent Village is an environment that encourages people to look away from their screens, and make real-time connections. We have over 30 tents, ranging from themed sectors, to demo spaces, pitch competitions and geographic divisions. The Tent Village puts you in the same physical space, with all of the people you want to meet.


Keynote Stage

July 11 & 12, 10AM-12:30PM

The Keynote stage is the home of leaders and luminaries. The only open stage on Thursday and Friday mornings, it brings together world-class entrepreneurs, investors and pioneers to share their stories.


Best Pitch Competition

July 12, 2:30PM-3:30PM

For the first time ever, we’re bringing the best of the Fest together on one stage, for the ultimate best pitch competition. Startupfest VF winner and finalists from the Grandmother’s Choice Award, $100K investment prize and the Women in Technology investment prize will take the stage and pitch for the Audience Choice Award. Stay tuned for all prizes to be announced!

This two-day workshop is a carefully curated lineup of talks and interactive discussions with experts and authors from around the world. Designed to take aspiring innovators from initial idea to a sustainable, repeatable business model, this workshop is crafted in partnership with leading accelerators to ensure graduates are ready to seek early funding. The Funding Workshop

July 9-10, 9AM-5PM

A carefully curated lineup of talks, interactive discussions and hard-won lessons on finding product-market fit, growing the organization, and creating the right processes and systems to scale your business. This 2-day event culminates in the opportunity to pitch to a room of VC’s eager to invest in the next great idea. Space is reserved for qualified applicants, view the criteria and apply now.

AcceleratorFest is a specialized event, designed for the directors, program managers and community managers who drive acceleration programs across the globe. The morning will be dedicated to content, the afternoon will provide recruiting program leaders with the opportunity to connect with startups looking for the right accelerator program for their company. VentureFest will bring together fund managers and investors from across Canada and abroad to discuss the hot topic of fundraising. Industry experts will share best practices with attendees who can learn from leaders in the space and network with peers. BDC Women In Technology Boot Camp

Come and learn what it takes to build your tech start-up! During this half-day Women in Technology (WIT) Boot Camp hosted by BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Fund, we are looking to connect women founders and leaders of technology start-ups with the resources they need to grow their businesses. In collaboration with Arche Innovation, HackerFest is an outdoor, multi-topic, innovation marathon for developers, designers, inventors and all-around creators. Hack from a hammock on the Montreal waterfront this summer. Learn more.

In recent years, smart cities have been at the center of many conversations related to how the world will change over the coming decades.
