Sean Silcoff (he/him)

Sean Silcoff is co-author of Losing the Signal, the internationally acclaimed, award-winning book about the rise and fall of smartphone pioneer BlackBerry, and the inspiration for the 2023 movie “BlackBerry.” He is a business writer specializing in innovation with The Globe & Mail, Canada’s National Newspaper. Sean previously worked at the National Post and Canadian Business Magazine and has been published in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. He lives near Ottawa, Canada.

Losing the Signal is the internationally acclaimed, best-selling book about the rise and fall of smartphone pioneer Research in Motion (now BlackBerry) under the leadership of long-time co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis.
