Bitcoin expert and industry thought leader involved full-time since 2013, Francis is the founder and CEO of Satoshi Portal. Satoshi Portal develops and operates bitcoin financial services applications and software, specializing in bitcoin payments and exchange. Previously public affairs director at the Bitcoin Embassy, Francis realized that Bitcoin companies did not hold up to the high standards required by mainstream users. Satoshi Portal acquired Bylls.com in 2015, the world’s first bitcoin bill payment processor founded in 2013, making it today Canada’s first and largest Bitcoin payment processing company.
Francis is also co-founder of Catallaxy, a crypto expertise center. He is director of the board of the Bitcoin Foundation and an adviser at the Ontario Security Commission. As a cypherpunk entrepreneur, his goal is to drive the adoption of Bitcoin and to establish the highest standards and most convenient user experience for retail Bitcoin financial services. Francis is a former policy analyst and economics researcher with extensive involvement in free-market think tanks and libertarian advocacy groups. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from King’s College London.
