The First ever SmartCityFest!

Conversations on how to create smart cities for all!
In recent years, smart cities have been at the center of many conversations related to how the world will change over the coming decades. Although we have already seen numerous examples of models of smart cities around the world, there are still numerous questions about what makes a city smart, how to better develop services for citizens and business, improve efficiency and decision making among municipal officials, and on best practices regarding the collection and protection of data.
The event is free for all Startupfest ticket holders. You can, however, also purchase a ticket to ONLY attend SmartCityFest.
How to attend :
What you can expect:
How do you plan, design, and implement the city of the future? That’s what we want to discuss during the first edition of SmartCityFest.
Day 1
Bringing together representatives from municipalities developing smart city projects, the businesses, startups and innovators delivering tech solutions for this sector, and every day citizens who should have a voice in the conception of these new intelligent infrastructures.
Day 2
Participate in a design challenge workshop animated by Arche Innovation’s, Re-Innovate team.
During the challenge, teams will be presented a challenge related to planning and designing a model to imagine and integrate the smart city of their dreams and propose solutions on how a municipality, the private sector and academia should collaborate. They will present their concepts to a jury, who will choose their favorite project and declare the winner of the $500 CDN prize!
