Back by popular demand, the Investor Zone; a place for investors and startups to connect. Startups and Investors will be pre-selected and matched based on industry, type of funding you’re looking for, etc. Startups must pre-apply, and all participants will be matched for an afternoon of brief meetings onsite at Startupfest, July 11th. This Premium one day event will bring together fund managers and investors from across Canada and abroad to learn from leaders and network with industry peers. For the first time, VC’s are being invited to join the tail end of the Funding workshop (previously known as ScaleupFest), an event for founders in the Series A gap. Investors will have the opportunity to hear a series of lightning pitches by all startups in attendance (this is an invite-only crowd of founders with traction). This Premium Event is designed for the directors, program managers and community managers who drive acceleration programs across the globe. We’re building the Founding Workshop series to give pre-accelerator startups the tools they need to get on the right path, as they begin their startup journeys. Those accelerators that meet our criteria for the partnership will be given an office hours session on Wednesday afternoon, July 10th where they can meet with a target rich environment of those startups looking to join programs.
