Nayla Chebli (she/her)

Nayla is an investment director for Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ)’s venture capital fund. CDPQ is a long-term institutional investor that manages funds primarily for public and parapublic pension and insurance plans. As at December 31, 2018, it held CA$309.5 billion in net assets. CDPQ’s venture capital fund invests in later stage ventures in all sectors from travel to POS systems, from security to healthcare.

Curious and engaged, Nayla gravitated towards the venture capital and innovation ecosystem after twelve years as a private equity investor for CDPQ and previous operational experience in mergers and acquisitions for CAE, a global leader in training for the civil aviation, defense and security, and healthcare markets.

She is passionate about learning and understanding new technologies and how they can change the world we live in. She is always interested to learn about a different perspective and approach whether its meeting with entrepreneurs, investors or peers.
