Jeffrey Baikowitz

Jeffrey Baikowitz founded his first startup – Encore Waste Management – while he was a Student at McGill at the age of 19, which he sold to a national competitor at the age of 24. Since then he has helped co-found over 20 successful startups. Currently, Jeffrey, along with his partners helps manage 12 businesses that he co-founded including several of Canada’s top restaurants and an urban wellness center. Jeffrey divides his time between for-profit and non-profit activities and is currently focusing his time on his latest startup -MotherFood International. MotherFood develops and delivers nutrient dense foods to vulnerable pregnant and lactating women in the developing world. Jeff was also the co-founder and inaugural Chairman of the McGill University Social Economy Initiative, and is the former Chairman of the Boards of Street Kids International and Leave Out Violence (Central). He has served on many other national and international non-profit boards throughout the past 25 years. Jeffrey is a Richard Ivey School of Business Quantum Shift Fellow, the 2012 Ford Motor Company ‘Go Further’ recipient and the inaugural Notable.Ca award winner for Social Good.
